Buses and Trollies

Martha's Vineyard Transit Authority (VTA):
These white buses operate daily between all Island towns. Please call 508.627.7448 for automated info, or 508.627.9663 to speak with someone. You can also go online at www.vineyardtransit.com

Island Transport:These yellow buses run daily between all down-island towns. Stops include the ferry terminals in Vineyard Haven and Oak Bluffs, and the visitor center in Edgartown. Schedules are posted at all stops, or you may call 508.693.1589.

Edgartown Trolley:From May to September trolleys run every 15 minutes to downtown Edgartown from convenient locations on the outskirts of town. Parking is free at the “triangle” off Upper Main Street, also at the Edgartown School on Robinson Road. This is very helpful because downtown traffic and parking can be very difficult during the summer months.

Beach Shuttle:This bus runs regularly May through September shuttling people from the Visitors Center in Edgartown (on Church Street) to South Beach.

Tisbury Park 'N' Ride:There is free parking at the State Road Depot in Vineyard Haven (located off State Rd. between Island Cove Mini Golf and the Coca Cola Bottling Co.) This shuttle runs approximately every 20 minutes, year-round bringing its passengers to downtown Vineyard Haven, next to the Ferry terminal.
